A number of very generous ShipRockers looked into their Sacred Hearts and helped us to raise over $40,000 for charity during our 2009 cruise. This November, we want to blow that amount out of the water!

Our very live auction is back, and we’ll have an even more amazing assortment of music memorabilia and other cool stuff up for bids onboard! All of the proceeds from this year’s auction and VIP ticket program (above) will benefit Cancer Sucks and the TJ Martell Foundation, two organizations dedicated to funding innovative medical research and finding a cure for cancer.

And finally, because we are dutiful Rock & Roll Children, all of the money raised will be donated in honor of the great Ronnie James Dio, who is himself currently slaying the cancer dragon. So come now Children Of The Sea… Let’s show Dio and the world just how hard We Rock!

Cinderella, HAIL!, Broken Teeth, Lynam, the Niki Barr Band, The Letter Black and Pianotarium are all confirmed to perform. You do NOT want to miss this years cruise! CINDERELLA is back and stronger than ever and this November, the quartet will bring their working class, blues-based rock n’ roll to ShipRocked. Known for hits like “Night Songs”, “Shake Me”, “Nobody’s Fool” and the power ballad “Don’t Know What You Got (‘Til It’s Gone)”, singer Tom Keifer, bassist Eric Brittingham, guitarist Jeff LaBar and drummer Fred Coury are ready to party. “I haven’t cruised since I was ten,” admits Keifer. “I hope I don’t get seasick! We’re all so excited about the cruise – it’s going to be a great time and a great show!”

The supergroup HAIL! will have everyone’s head banging onboard. HAIL! features Dave Ellefson (Megadeth), Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater), Andreas Kisser (Sepultura) and Tim “Ripper” Owens (Judas Priest). HAIL! plays a mix of songs from a “who’s who” list of metal. Perhaps the heaviest jam band on earth, the guys in HAIL! give props to their own metal heroes. No matter the song, you’re sure to rock out.

Who else will rock the boat? ShipRocked alumni Broken Teeth, Lynam and the Niki Barr Band for starters. You’ll also party with future superstars The Letter Black and check out the unique stylings of Pianotarium…and MANY MORE bands will be added soon!
