Bravewords.com has confirmed that Parker Lundgren, a member of QUEENSRŸCHE singer GEOFF TATE’s solo band, has officially joined Queensrÿche as their new touring guitarist.

Parker’s addition to QUEENSRŸCHE’s touring lineup was officially announced by Tate in a podcast that is currently available only to members of the band’s fan club. Geoff added that the group is “glad to have him.”

Lundgren played several shows with the Queensrÿche frontman last September and joined Tate and Queensrÿche guitarist Michael Wilton for a rare all-acoustic set at KISW’s annual Holiday Hangover Ball on December 12th, 2008 at Showbox SoDo in Seattle, WA.

Blabbermouth.net has posted some fan-filmed video footage of Geoff Tate’s September 21, 2008 solo concert at The Knitting Factory in Spokane, Washington — featuring Parker Lundgren on guitar — it can be viewed below (courtesy of “chasingbluesky”).

ShipRocked would like to congratulate Parker on his new gig, and we look forward to having him join us this November!

I must say that I am happy to see Parker join the band, and thought he was very good at the Three Rivers Winery, this past September. Mike Stone may have learned many of Queensryches songs in a rather short period of time, and was a good guitarist, but he lacked class in my opinion. We met at Ruths Chris Steakhouse, March 1,2008 and he was the only band member that just seemed to stil be “in the garage stage” from an emotional stance and really looking to party like we all did 20 years ago. Im sure not being married didnt help! I welcome Parker, think he will take this new position seriously, and be a classy addition to the rest of my favorite band…QUEENSRYCHE!
